Recently came across this:

Maybe they'll come after this venerable script next. I hope they don't. Blood suckers.

Hmm... perhaps its time for a name change. Maybe just FB Fixer or something.

The author of Purity created a profile fan page on Facebook for the Purity script, And this basically drew in attention from Facebook. If one jumps around and screams loud enough he's bound to be noticed. So to this I say, be quiet and go unnoticed!!

SamSpade, You are 100% right, Bloodsuckers They Are!! Shoving their app crap in our faces!!

I have decided that I will rename the script for the next release. (I still haven't decided on the name, but it will probably be "FB Fixer" or "FBFixer").

In preparation for that change I have disabled the button in the "new version" notification that lets you upgrade the script without visiting the script home page. The reason for this being that people will need to manually uninstall "Facebook Fixer" and I need a way to tell them that.

I pretty much hate using Facebook without this userscript, so thanks for all the work. Occasionally, I'll open FB in IE8 for whatever reason (usually, uploads aren't working in FF), and it totally throws me off from what I'm used to seeing.

You should called it "Mark Zuckerberg Steals Code, So I Modified It"

According to the maker of Purity, Facebook also have copyright on the words "FB" no idea how true this is but it has been mentioned in some of Purity's recent updates.

How about making the config page just say to check here or wherever for the 'new' version of FBFixer. Like have it open right after the install and say this has limited options, for the good stuff get the latest, greatest FBF. I'd hate to start seeing all the farmville, mafia wars posts again.

If I rename the script then the new version will still get installed, it just won't replace the old version. I may include a one-time message in the next release saying to remove the old version manually.

Facebook has a problem with even FB letters being in the name. Take that into consideration.

Well perhaps just "Fixer" then. Some people call it that anyway.

Might be hard to find - a search for "Fixer" turns up about 250 entries.

Hmm, true... I didn't think of that. I'm also considering FFixer (with a double F), which doesn't return any results on this site.

@Vaughan
Have you posted the newer one yet? If so where can I find it? The current one I have never informed me about an update, and I would like to update to whatever you name it to.

@Bryan what does your addon have to do with this? Your pretty much next on Facebooks 'to beat up' list..

@JayJay, I didn't get the renamed version up yet, but it should be up this weekend. Don't worry, Facebook Fixer will notify you about the update like normal and the script will still be installed from the same page. The only difference is that the renamed version won't overwrite the old version, so you will have to manually remove the old version.

I agree with aar0on, I already get used to this script, when I opened Facebbok in Flock without this script it's so boring, I can't see clearly the thumbnails.....
so, I'm waiting the new script, and Vaughan, can this script used in Flock too? Thanks before...

The change has been made and the script is now FFixer.

@Han_Dragon, the latest version should work fine in Flock, once you have Greasemonkey installed.
