Review of Change Page Title
Very useful as a better alternative to TabMix Plus' tab renaming functionality (TMP's resets itself when you restart and restore your session) but it doesn't strip fragments (A.K.A. anchor references) from the URLs before tying the tab names to them, so it's of limited use in renaming watched *chan thread tabs to shorthands.
Review of Megaupload auto-fill captcha
You have to admire this script. Not only does it work as advertised and automate the process of free MegaUpload downloading, it does OCR in Javascript.
That is the most impressive coding achievement I've ever seen on userscripts.org by a long shot.
Review of Try This Search On
Not only does this let you replace all your little "Add alternative search links to..." scripts with one unified interface, it also provides a nice "no editing required" customization mechanism and generally "just works" on any site which has a search mechanism. (as well as Last.fm artist pages, which is really nice)
I suggest setting it to appear at the top of the viewport so it can be used like a more personal and useful equivalent to Google's "alternative search types" header.
Review of YousableTubeFix
Beautiful script. Does what it says without problems, includes a beautiful and easy-to-use config dialog, and has tons of desirable features. For example:
I used to use MTube to stretch my video window, but MPlayerPlug-in had a tendency to freeze up my Firefox when used with YouTube.
I tried several other scripts which could force high-quality video and prevent auto-play, but most of them were either glitchy, ugly, or interfered with Video DownloadHelper. (I prefer to use the same tool for all video sites)
I finally found this while looking for a script to turn off video captions and annotations and it was love at first sight.
I wish more scriptwrights would put this kind of care and effort into their work. It makes me kind of embarassed to have been too busy to either update or remove my own obsolete scripts.
Review of Rapidshare AutoWait
As RapidShare keeps offering less and less for the cost of a premium account, this becomes more and more essential to everyone.
This script does exactly what it says: Load a RapidShare link and it'll automatically handle the rest.
What the author doesn't mention is that Firefox will download in the background while waiting for you to choose what to do with the download... so you can come back to find the "What should Firefox do with this file?" dialog, choose a save location, and have the download succeed and complete instantly.
I recommend installing these extensions in this order for the best RapidShare experience possible:
- http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/9467
- http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/38985
(You have to install the update checker first, reload the pages for the others, and then click the Install buttons. That's how extensions get registered to be checked for updates)
