In the next version would it be possible to have the blacklisted users come from a certain friend catagory so you could add the users you would want to block to that catagory and then add the catagory to the blacklist

Agreed. Let's have the old version back, please. I've gotta disable this one until it's fixed. :-(

These new breadcrumb URLs of Facebook were stopping a lot of scripts working for me - this fixes everything, Thanks

New idea - will this work to clean links???

I bet most hits have direct urls that can be grabbed right off the search results page.

Why not grab the url based on one of three things in the search results...

1

If the video has "Watch view here" - its url.

2

The url of the sample picture on the left. This works for youtube.

3

If the video has "View thumbnails" - their urls. This works for youtube.

example

intitle:"Rihanna - Don't Stop The Music" - Google Video

http://video.google.com/videosearch?num=100&hl=...

The first hit will probably be...

Rihanna - Don't Stop The Music

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsRWpK4pf90&hl=en

It has 61,000,000+ hits.

The youtube link, the image for the video and the thumbnails all have have "xsRWpK4pf90" in them.

The image in the search results

A couple thumbnails.

A reuters video.

Bush v. hecklers | Video | Reuters.com

http://www.reuters.com/news/video?videoId=85881

Looking at the search results row in Firebug shows the link is in there.

<div srcurl="http://www.reuters.com/news/video?videoId=85881" contentid="" docid="8434303284452462706" duration="57" onclick="return resultItemClick('18');" class="rl-res" id="res-18">

That seems like it could work, but doing up to 10 XMLHttpRequests would be kind of complicated and would slow things down quite a bit.

>> -- I'm not sure if that's possible --

Couldn't you...

1

Use XMLHttpRequest on the google video page

2

Grab the direct link.

3

On the search page replace the google video link with the direct link.

XMLHttpRequest is way beyond me. But is my logic sound? Or is it possible but just too darn slow?

That would rock. I got another idea if you don't want to actually utilize two separate lists. You could still use one list, but just add some sort of marker to have the code differentiate whether the added user is in the whitelist or blacklist. Then just add an option button or tab on the editor so the user can select if the new addition is black or white. After that it's just a matter of parsing for that marker. =)

Comment on MySpace Ignore Bulletins made Jun 29, 2008:

That's right, there's only one list. It works well for most people. But if more people ask for that feature, I'll try to add it.

Comment on Google Video Frame Remover made Jun 29, 2008:

There's no frame on that page. The frame is only applied to videos that aren't hosted on video.google.com.

Edit [Um... Whoops...]

Comment on MySpace Ignore Bulletins made Jun 29, 2008:

Would it be possible for the script to have 2 separate lists (black and white)?

Some users I never ever want to see their bulletins in my list no matter what (blacklist), while there are times when I'd like to click the whitelist button to see only the bulletins of people I add to the whitelist.

From what I can tell it currently only uses one list, so you can only either add people to blacklist OR whitelist?

I've got Firefox 2 and it doesn't seem to be working :(

Tried turning off all the other scripts to see if they were conflicting but still no luck.
