sdfghjklkjhgfds sdfghjiuytr: I don't see what you mean. It still works perfectly fine for me. |

hans212: It would be much more difficult for me to rewrite my entire script than it would be for you to change one password. |

Arie84: This one is not the original. This script s someone trying to pass off my hard work as their own. It could even be malicious. For your own safety, please don't install it. |

Cool, thanks. |

If it doesn't already do that, then probably not. |

pukha lenee-bluhm: This is an issue with the Greasemonkey API and Firefox 3. I had a workaround for it, but a GMail code update caused it to stop functioning. I have made an attempt to contact Google about it, but whether they will reply or rectify the issue is anyone's guess. |

El_Farah, did you happen to note if any Javascript errors were showing up when the dropdown doesn't appear? |

No problem. |

The Dot: Good news for us both! After staying up much too late reverse engineering GMail's Javascript, I've come up with a workaround for the FF3/GMail API problem. It's a hack for sure, so I'm still testing it out, but it's definitely looking hopeful. If you want more info or think you might be able to help make it a little more stable, my email is jarett [DOT] millard [AT] gmail [DOT] com. |

aidje: Thanks for reporting back about the Google Apps. As for the box not showing, this is a problem between Google's Greasemonkey API for GMail and Firefox 3. Not even Google's own example code runs properly if the API file is cached. I'm trying to figure out a workaround for it. |

coreyhammond: Log out from which page? It worked fine for me just now logging out from GMail. Burd: It's the same as the "Keep me logged in" checkbox on the normal login screen. BlaenkDenum: Whoops, didn't realize I'd left that debug code in there. Good thing I did, though, since that what you copied told me why it's not working. I'll have an updated version uploaded in a few minutes, and if you get a chance, would you mind letting me know if it functions correctly? I don't have a Google Apps account to test it out with. billlava: I know that. It's not any less safe than checking "Keep me logged in" or letting Firefox save login information. |

Good to know my script updater is being used, and thanks for the link back. |

You're welcome, but if you really appreciated it you wouldn't spam my page with unrelated links. |

adria.richards: Thank you. I appreciate that.

hsrstud: You can try adding "@gmail.com" to the end of the account names, but I doubt it would do much.

Anyone who is having problems with the script in GMail: it occasionally doesn't show up for me either, especially if I have a GMail tab reopen when I open the browser with session restore on. Usually all that's needed for me is a page refresh, though. Also, please don't install anything from the page that's linked by mac123. The script is a direct copy of mine with a few variable names changed, and the addon has a good chance of being spyware and stealing passwords. At the very least, neither of them were actually created by the person who made the blog post. |

mac123: He's not working on anything. He has no idea how the script works; he just downloaded mine, changed a few variable names, and uploaded it under his own name. |

Nope, there's not really a way to store them that's completely secure, since even if the password were to be encrypted, it would need to be decrypted before it was used. This would require the user to enter a password every time they wanted to switch accounts. I can't really see a point to adding this in, since it will work basically the same way if you don't let it store any passwords. |

Vaibhav: If you really appreciated my hard work, you wouldn't steal copies of my script and post them under your own name. |

You are wrong. Any idiot can look at the source of the script you posted and see that it's an exact copy with a few things taken out. |

Mike, I unfortunately don't really have much to go on here. It could be an obscure problem with another extension or script you have installed, or something wrong with your Firefox profile files. |

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but theft isn't. Here's the REAL script.

xanderificus: Ah, I got it now. The 16341 isn't a version; it's just the script's ID number on Userscripts. Just install the script again and see if it keeps it up. |
