@Dimitri : I tried running the script AutoBCC on Firefox2. It seemed to work ok except for throwing too many alert boxes at me ;).
@Jr. : "The particular gadget we were discussing is rather hard to set up." What I was implying was that setting up that gadget requires you to write _code_. This would obviously be a nuisance to a person not used to writing code. I shouldve been more elaborate. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

@Jr: Dont worry, youre not really expected to get things to work if youre not used to doing this stuff. The particular gadget we were discussing is rather hard to set up. I strongly recommend that you choose another one. You can try them out by adding them to your Google IG page.
@JoeMik: Unfortunately, the gmailAPI provided by google still does weird things on FF3. I will update the script description to answer this. @danny1205: :) yay. Im glad you liked it. @Brian W: The RTM extension itself ought to work great as max6166 suggested. Are you running Firefox3 - this script does not currently work on Firefox3. @Dimitri: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/25195 . :)

@ Y2K : Thank you for your addition. I have added it to the list :) @ max6166 : :) you know, now that ive checked it out, i wonder why nobody has told me about this before, or why i didnt see it myself. thanks a lot - that was a much needed modification. ive fixed it. general question: im using opera now, and i love every bit of it. its an example of something that "just works". has anybody else tried using it out there? pity the latest version of gmail doesnt work on it though. |

@searchforsunrise: yeah sorry, my fault. its under prefs. just enter a single character into the "shortcut key" field. numbers work good especially if youre using the gmail keyboard shortcuts too. |

@max6166: i can work on that. there are a few things to work out before that. should only the addons inside the main page (below the regular email) be hidden or should all of them be hidden.
@jive: yep :) @RomanK: ive added your addon to the list. @Online Apps: unfortunately, i still have the same issue. it works the first time or on clearing cache, but then stops working on subsequent reloads. google fix it ! @k0shyX: yep. still the same gmailAPI issue. |

UPDATE: The author of the style Gmail Redesigned has very helpfully agreed to help resolve the current issue (as of 15 May, 08) between this script and the style. The next version of the Gmail Redesigned style should resolve all issues.

@max6166: hi, im sorry i couldnt reply to your query in time as i was on vacation. i see its been solved though :) i think that the iframe will end up longer or shorter than the page depending on how many calendars you have. the main calendar should automatically resize to fit in the iframe though. @searchforsunrise: thanks for replying to max6166 :) @jive, bogus83: i looked into the issue, it seems to be something in the style. thought i cannot change this myself, you can. you can edit the style (right click on the stylish toolbar icon, right click on the style's name)
i have contacted the maker of the style to ask him to remove the "offending" bit ;). (it doesnt seem to make a difference whether its there or not) @sonychen: im working on it. :) (would numbers as shortcuts do?) |

Jarett, the issue that MikeB reported seems to be an issue with the gmailAPI and firefox 3 beta 5. Any script that uses the API will work only when certain files are not cached. Even the sample script by google doesnt work. If you clear your cache and reload, the script will work. But if you reload a second time, it wont.

@Shaun Raymond: Ive updated the description of that script to be more comprehensive. I hope that helps you.
@nka: This seems to be something of a one-time issue with the Google Gadget. As you can see, all that is Google's code mess ;). If this issue does not occour repeatedly when you refresh the page, I suggest that you dont worry about it. If it does, please let me know. Thanks. @all: Please leave your comments at their respective scripts. I assure you, I do check the comments of all of them. The discussion might be of use to other users of the scripts. Thank you. |

@nka: The code you've written is absolutely perfect. The problem here is that Google Docs checks to see whether its being loaded as part of another page. If so, it redirects the browser.
@all: The latest version - Gmail Addons 3.6 is out. Please update the script by clicking on the 'Install this Script' button on the top right. |

@sk: i just whipped something up at http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/25195 . i hope it helps you @flakess: thank you for reporting this issue. this issue seems to be the gmail api being incompatible with firefox 3 beta 5. you may verify this by installing the script at http://code.google.com/p/gmail-greasemonkey/wik... . the same issue occours with that script as well. this means that google/firefox will have to fix their code ;) for any gmail script using that api to work correctly on firefox 3 beta 5. |

@ tbw, rkmase : thanks for reporting the problem. i verified the issue on firefox3beta4. the problem occours less frequently on firefox3 than on firefox2 but it does still occour especially when you switch between multiple views repeatedly. consequently, i have updated the script and uploaded the changed version. i think this solves the problem.. i havent updated the script changelog as im not perfectly sure of the issue being solved. please do download it again and check it out. please report anything that goes wrong. @ rkmase : thank you for reporting that. that behaviour was actually correct for the script. on the latest update, you should see the word appearing 3 times (or more if you have more addons installed) on loading gmail, and an additional 1 time for every view change. (you might have more instances of the word poll if you have a slow connection) @ blake johnson : i have verified that the script does work with the latest version of the rtm extension. please download the latest version of both this script and the rtm extension.
Are there no plans to ever make this script work with it? You are probably referring to the issues as posted on the rtm forums or in these comments. the issue has already been corrected. @ all : im really pressed for time as my exams are going on right now (they will continue until the end of april). consequently, i cannot check these comments as frequently as i wish to. please do keep reporting any issues and ideas that you may have. i will definitely look through them when i have any spare time. please make sure you have the latest version installed before reporting a problem. thank you. |

@ jim murphy : thanks a lot for your information. i have verified the same and now i dont worry about what to do ;) . the js performance of firefox has generally been quite bad. firfox 3 looks good that way :). @ jonesclp : are the other links displayed or is it only with the prefs link that you have a problem?

hi @ rkmase, krazyglu52 : thank you for reporting this. a few people were having this problem before, but they claim that it has been fixed in the current version (3.5 as of this post). please make sure you have the latest version installed. @ user916931 : thank you for that info - something on *my side* :p . @ rkmase, krazyglu52 : based on user916131's information, these problems occour even without Gmail Addons. could you please try disabling gmail addons and then refreshing the page? ive noticed that when gmail is loading, the browser slows down in general (i.e. difficult to switch tabs, do anything else). ive particularly tried to avoid these problems by changing the way the Gmail Addons are loaded in the latest version. in the latest version, the script only loads the addons *after* the gmail page is fully loaded. in fact you might see the whole screen blink or flash when the page is loaded and modified by my script. another thing that might help is if you reported the number of times the word 'poll' turns up in the error console.
Ive love to get this to work for you. if the issue is the script itself (versus the gmail page itself) then i will have to see exactly whats wrong. please report the above. based on that information i can decide what to do. quite honestly, i personally think that this is the nicest way for this script to work but perhaps i could ask the people at the forums for an alternate way. |

@bananaphone: this script was made for the new version of gmail. i assumed this was alright since most accounts have already been upgraded and right now in fact, the new version isnt all that new ;). |

Hi everyone, Firefox 3 support has been added. Further, modifications have been made to account for minor changes made by Gmail to the interface.

Hi Currently, you cannot load the Google Docs page into gmail. This is because Google Docs checks to see whether it is loaded within a frame and if so, redirects to the Google Docs site. However, i have currently made a Gmail Addons script to integrate Google Docs. It uses the Google Docs Google Gadget. There have been a few issues about this gadget http://google.com/ig/directory?q=google+docs&ur... . Although the integration is quite basic and there are various limitations, i hope that somebody will find it useful. |
