Update: Just installed FF3 on my Windows VM and it still doesn't work for me there. I can confirm it's not platform specific (for me) :(
Just to confirm: are you using Nightly Tester tools to install greasemonkey (because it's 'not supported' for version Rc1)? I've just made a brand new gmail test account and it's not working for me on that either :(
I'm stumped! |

Hmm.... Very strange! It's still not working for me. I'm using Gmail en-gb with Firefox 3.0 Rc1 (build 2008051202) with Greasemonkey v.0.7.20080121.0 The only thing I can think of is that I'm running Mac OS X. Not sure if that'll be a problem though. Other scripts work fine.

Just gone back to FF2, and can confirm that it works fine. It's just a problem with FF3 (using RC1 atm) |

Hmm...I've realised I'm still having problems. I'm using gmail (UK) and Firefox 3. It hardly ever seems to work :( |

Uh - oh. I spoke too soon! The script works on the first message I read, then if I go back to the inbox and click another message it doesn't work. :( Not sure if it's just the UK version...nope. It happens in the US version for me as well. I hope you can sort this one out! |

Looks like google finally updated the UK gmail to 'new version'. This script works just as well as the old one. Keep up the good work Raffles :D |

How about using Wikipedia's list of common words that are spelt incorrectly?
I've converted it to be in your script format (i.e. changed -> to ': ' a apostrophe needs to be added to the beginning and ending of every line, and some words (e.g. can't need to be changed to can\'t) here's the script so far if you (Raffles) want to finish it off. One problem is that it might slow down your browser (as it's a ~80KB script) |

Works now :D I don't want to change to the newer version, I like having eng-gb as opposed to US.

Hi again Raffles :D I've just updated to the latest script, and I'm getting the old bug where the print this etc. links appear along the side rather than along the top. :(

@ ndall (again!) I can't seem to reproduce your problem. If I click 'view image in its original context' it takes me to the google page with an iframe at the tom (showing a scaled down version of the image) Did you copy / paste the whole address I entered in my last message (inc. the last =*) It should be.. (if this works)

Hope this helps

@ ndall I think I know what you're talking about, try adding:
to the 'excluded pages' (right click the greasemonkey icon > manage user scripts > highlight 'greased lightbox' and click add in the excluded box. |

I've sent you the code, and am just wondering about an update...any brake through yet?! |

woops, my last comment didn't show the code right (annoying you can't preview the comments...) it's div id="RadAd_SMC600" class="BorderContainerOutline cRadAds" which has an iframe: src="about:blank" name="dapIfM1" id="dapIfM1" inside it. Can send you the whole page if you like |

I've had a quick look at the code, and can't seem to figure out where it is, I think it might be and iframe <iframe height="600" width="300"></iframe>
I can give you the source, but I expect it would be easier for me to email you the stuff rather than post it up here. My email is: robertson [dot] patrick [at] gmail [dot] com |

I see you're around, so I'll explain the problem further. It's after sending a message, when the 'Your message has been sent to the following recipients:' is shown.

Works well, and solves the problem of Adblock and Hotmail :) One thing... this ad seems to be getting through your script: Image: http://m.uk.2mdn.net/viewad/865273/mpu_offlicen...
It's probably a UK-only add, and it appears after sending a message (on the right) Thanks |
