I was wondering if it's possible to change text in to an image?

I slightly modified the script Skype Linkify by Marco Abiuso to work with the Linux version of skype. My version of the script is here http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/10990 with instructions on how to install it and tweak the Ubuntu Linux version Firefox to work with Skype.

right now the script just underlines the phone number as seen here http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger2/4312/3568/4...

I would like to change the phone number in the link to images so that the link could look like this http://nihongopc.us/pcgif/skypetoolbar01.gif

each number in the phone number be a separate could be a separate image.

or a different idea would be to make the numbers out of css.

Is this possible with greasemonkey?
