Better Google for iPhone

Jul 30, 2008

for some unknown reason Gmail converges on my N800 when using this script: http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/2894/screens...

could someone give me an advise how to abandon it and use Gmail fullscreen?

RS_Bundle

auto-download doesn't seem to work for me (rapidshare.com, preference set and saved to auto-download -- but it just does nothing (when auto-download set to false, the browser does the job correctly by reminding about the elapsed timer via the popup window)).

with the new google's navigation bar this script now doesn't fully overlays it and looks like this: http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/3864/picture...

is it possible to fix? (possibly remove google's bar?)

thanks :).

Google Interface

is it possible to bring this links' bar also to those google pages, which doesn't currently support it? such as Google Reader, etc...

may be it would be better just to replace Google's bar with yours for all services? since for now it only appears on a few.

e.g., somehow it does replace google's bar on Calendar (indicating incorrectly that it's not a Calendar, but a Google itself page: http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/226/picture2...), and does not appear on Gmail, etc.

nevermind, Ben :). modified version can be found here.

the only difference comparing to the original script is that shortcuts are changed in order to make the script work with the "Find as you type" Fx's feature enabled.

new keybindgs are the following:

press F1-F1 to enumerate links;
press F1-# to open the link number # (e.g., F1-5 opens the link number 5);
and press F1-F2 to open the url of the original message.

Ben, your site seems to be hacked. is there any way to contact you?

[my email would be dsjkvf at gmail.com]

Google Reader Block Links

it's possible to override F1 (who uses help nowadays? :)) and F2 is unused, if I'm right.

from other side, you may also have a look at Google Ctrl-Arrow, which uses Ctrl-sequences, or at Gmail Macros, which somehow manages to work with the
Find As You Type
feature.

in fact, I wouldn't disturb you and would modify 'f' to 'F1' myself, of course :). but the problem is that I know almost nothing about javascript, and just can't figure where in your script this primary 'f' shortcut is defined (and, of course, i would be very grateful if you could help me here).

thanks once again :), and -- good luck!

Google Reader Block Links

hello, metropol

great addition, thank you!

but also a little question: is it possible to change the primary shortcut from initial 'f' to, let's say, F1 or something like that in order to make this script work even with 'Search for text when I start typing' feature enabled?

strange, but it doesn't seem to work for me: i see no numbers on links (should i?) and pressing 'f' just makes Find As You Type to start.

Google Ctrl-Arrow

Dec 13, 2006

strange, (r) doesn't seem to work for me (Fx 1.5.0.8/Mac, can also try 2.0/Win tomorrow) -- just focuses search string exactly the way (e) does.

can anybody confirm it?

Google Ctrl-Arrow

do you plan to update your script to make it hide Google's Delete buttton and make use of yours one?

Gmail: Random Signature

yes, a button or link (smthng like how it's done in Gmail Tweaks: Multiple Signatures) for next fortune would be really great.

however, for now script works fine, thank you for it :).
