Don't know which company this is but these ads are back with a vengeance. I have seen these same ads on several websites.

Also, yeah...if you could fix those darn Yahoo words...I think they call them Yahoo Shortcuts or something...it would be awesome to see them go away!!!

Never mind. It seems Firefox RC1 was the problem. Uninstalling and reinstalling fixed the issue. It was very weird though.

Not just Vibrant but AdBrite and probably any other offenders. This is horrible surfing the net this way!

I have a weird problem Grant. Maybe you can help me.

Just today, I have 2 computers that are getting clobbered by VIBRANT. Each computer has GreaseMonkey and your script. They were working fine, no changes, or updates. Now, the ads appear.

However, on my laptop, everything is fine and the ads do not show!!

I tried clearing the all private data and cache, restarting the computer, etc. Uninstalled and reinstalled GM and script. No luck. WTF! lol

This is a head scratcher for me!

WOW...Kontera is on the march! About 5 websites I go to that never used them have now switched and I am invaded by those damn text ads! I hate you Kontera.

And just for conversations sake - Do those kinds of ads really work? I would never trust any ad like that to provide me with quality info or fair prices or unbiased info. It is an ad...someone is paying cash to manipulate you!!! I cannot imagine people going for it but then again...the Nigerian scam emails still work too!

Just a short scroll down under "METHOD 3" there is a link/ad for the purchase of WINDOWS VISTA from AMAZON. I cannot tell who the advertiser is but the text ad is still doing pop ups.

Can this be fixed? I tried the page on another computer with no blocking, etc and it is there...the same ad. Maybe a new company or technique? hope you can kill it Grant.

I am so glad to see this update. Just for fun, as I was setting up a new computer for my girlfriend, I cruised tons of websites with just IE 7 or Firefox and no add ons, etc. YIKES!!!!!! What a freaking mess the internet has become. Kind of reminds you of the 40's when highway roadside billboards swarmed the roadsides. Bless you Mrs. Roosevelt for stopping that and bless you Grant for saving us on the information super highway!

I also have dealt with it on 4 or 5 other sites too. GEEEEZ, I have been spoiled. With this script and GREASEMONKEY for Firefox I forgot just how bad the web is getting with the polluters like adbrite!!!!
