RSS Panel X

Oct 22, 2007

Nice, but unfortunately it slows down my browser too much: without it when I load google suggest (http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en), Opera uses ~13% cpu for ~1 second. When it's activated, it uses 50% cpu (ie: the maximum for a non multithreaded app) for ~2 seconds, which makes less responsive.
And google suggest is a light page (~31KB), without an rss feed.

Google Cache Continue

Oct 21, 2007

This scripts adds a yellow 'cache' link after each link, when you're browsing a page from the google cache. This way, you can continue browsing links from a google cached page, and have search terms highlighted.

Sorry for the triple posting, there was an error with the site and/or my browser.

Textarea Backup

The idea is nice, but -like others said-, it doesn't do a great job for privacy (see in about:config).
There are plenty of entries in there, even for posts that have been properly submitted.
There's already a textarea protection in Firefox in case of crashes, so I'm going to uninstall this script until this issue is not solved.

Can it be modified to even change the url text to the source url?
This would be useful when display a page in twitter with lots of tinyurls in it...
Note: the Annotate links script can add foot notes as text for links in the document, but it's less convenient when just browsing.

On the original script you said "An adaptation with more XPath and less JS", what does it mean exactly?

Annotate Links

Sep 21, 2007

Note: this doesn't work well with Google docs: it will insert foot notes when you're *editing* the document.
So you need to put "https://docs.google.com/Doc?*" in the list of excluded pages

Couldn't make it work properly: I didn't see any extra links in the table headers, whereas I got them with the original script.
I see the nb of installs/day in the rows, though.

Title Scrubber - V 0.2.1

Apr 16, 2007

iirc: nice script, comment says:
// This script removes common garbage in document titles like "Welcome", "Welcome to" etc.
// Titles that are modified are marked with a ? » (close chevron-style quotes).
