hey, i was working on a similar thing but there is a slight issue im still working on getting past and it seems like unfortunately yours is plagued by the same issue - because of all of the ajax many time a greasemonkey script will not get run because they only trigger on page load, you need to find a way to trigger it whenever the page changes (not always a page load with the new ajax backend), if you find a solution to this awesome and let me know.

on the home page it only shows them on the right side above your profile info, on all other pages it should be a drop down on the top of the screen to the left of th home link and to the right of the inbox link. is this what you are seeing? would you prefer it differently?
