Topic: Userscripts.org discussion / Tags in Userscripts.org

Instead of, or in addition to, tags, are there any plans to simply categorize scripts, like the way it's done on Mozilla's "AddOns" pages or something? At the very least, we could categorize by website--Facebook scripts in this clump here, Gmail scripts in this other clump year--just with links to smaller pages, and then sub-categorize from there--Facebook skins here (of which there are many), cleanup scripts here, speedy scripts over yonder. Maybe?

Topic: Userscripts.org discussion / Categorization of Scripts

This has probably been brought up, but I couldn't see it anywhere.

Obviously userscripts.org has a tag system to keep things organized, but with the magnitude of scripts on the site now, maybe it would be more efficient to start categorizing scripts, like Firefox does with its add-ons or something like that? The easiest place to start would be organizing scripts by site, and then countless factors can spring from there: customization scripts, cleanup/reorganization scripts, efficiency scripts, site-to-site scripts, media scripts, etc.

I don't know--are there any objections to a possible implementation of this kind of system besides the time it would take to get it up and going?
