Which auto form filler FF extension are you referring to? I did a search and quite a few came up.

Userscripts Updater

Quick question: Does this script only check for updates to GM scripts I've installed after I installed the Updater script, or does it check ALL my scripts for updates?

mungushume, you should add UserScript Update Notification to your script to let users know when there is an update to your script and they can automatically update to the latest version.

Great script and keep up the good work. Thanks!

Off topic, but would it possible to make a script to make it so links in Hushmail emails are clickable?

NewTube - Youtube Cleanup

Brian, you should consider adding the UserScript Update Notification code to NewTube so we can be automatically notified when you update the script. I was using an older version of the script and started noticing some things acting weird on YT until I disabled GM. Now that I've updated, everything is working fine.

Anyway, thanks for all the hard work, one of the best GM scripts available IMO!

Textarea Backup

Nov 17, 2007

Just thought I would mention that the Session Manager extension also allows the saving of unsubmitted text after a crash/exit, if it is configured to do so. Session Manager saves all of the data in text files under the user's profile, as opposed to saving them in the about:config section. It also allows the user to encrypt the saved sessions.

So, that might be something the script author may want to look to as an example for a different method of saving the data. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with creating GM scripts, so I don't know if this is applicable, but I just thought I would mention it.

P.S. - If anyone has some hints on learning how to create GM scripts, please contact me and let me know, I would greatly appreciate it.

This script doesn't seem to be working. Do popups need to be enabled or anything?

This script doesn't seem to be working anymore. It looks like Blogger might have modified their layout for the post creation/edit page and now the button placement is off.

If you are using the NoScript extension you have to "Allow answers.com" for this to work. Pretty cool feature though. There also seems to be a FF sidebar addon that uses this function as well.

YouTube stop video download

Interesting feature when you hit "Stop" on a beta player page, it reverts the video back to the old format (for me at least).

Ah, I didn't see it at first, but it does work. You may want to modify your description to mention that the download link is a small disk button (Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
) and a blue hyperlinked text that reads "Download" below it (depending on what your screen resolution is - mine is 1400x1050). I downloaded the video using FDM via FlashGot and it went very smoothly and was successful. I also have a variety of other GM scripts installed, including other YT ones, as well as at least a dozen FF extensions (including Adblock & NoScript). This also worked for me on the beta YT page. I've taken a screen shot and used arrows to indicate the button (red) and text link (black) in the graphic below so everyone will know where to look for them. Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Suggestion for the author:

In order to broaden your audience, you may want to consider modifying this script so it can work natively in Opera (see: UserJS.org). As well as with the IE7Pro addon for IE, which has support for "GreaseMonkey alike script[ing]s" (see: iescripts.org). And finally Maxthon (see: Maxthon Addons). All of these programs are freeware. I'm not affiliated with any of them, but I just thought I would make those suggestions.

Good luck to you and your project,
pogue

ImageFap Better Direct Galleries++

Sep 11, 2007

Would it be possible to change the link for the "image.php?id=" pages to redirect directly to the images themselves? That would be helpful when people link directly to the images, instead of just the galleries, as the images themselves (for me at least) are often too small for the page boundaries, so I manually click on "View Image" and then zoom into it to see the full, clear image.

Very cool, works just as described! The only suggestion I might have would be to optionally add the movie's year to the search. That can help narrow down the search results to find a better match in some cases.

@Daniel: I read in another comment that you were working on implementing a Bayesian anti-spam engine into your script. That would be a GREAT idea. I just signed up here, so I'm not sure how to contact you, but if you could send me an email, I will get back with you and see what I can do to help.

Thanks! (Sorry if the HTML is broken!)

PS - Does this script have the same features as Ad Slicer for MySpace? Can you use it in conjunction with that script or would that be unnecessary?
