The issue seems to be related to case sensitivity. Technical foo@email.com and Foo@email.com are different email addresses... but most email systems treat them as the same. I'm working on fixing userscripts.org to deal with case in email.

It appears to be related to users not having "valid" records - we have been tweaking the data model and the current validations failing seems to kill the update.

You can always email monkeyoil@gmail with your info and I'll work on getting it fixed ASAP.

I think Jesse missed this thread somehow. I've notified him, hopefully he'll fix it soon.

For actual bugs (as opposed to discussing site features etc), submitting a ticket is the best way to make sure the site devs don't lose track of the issue.

Right. I reset my password three times, and it fails, pure and simple. This site used to be easy to use, now it's in the same class as 'must log in' crap like MSN and Yahoo - worse, in fact, since at least their constant nagging for a password is backed up by a working login system. Also, you should only be demanding passwords when we are trying to reply to topics in forums etc, not just looking around the site. Sinister and disappointing.

So I've lost the password to my old userscripts.org account. The answer to this is trivial: use the "reset password" form. However, every time I enter my email and then submit the form, it brings me to the "Settings" page for my account, except I'm not logged in and can't make any changes. I had to make this account in order to make the post, and it won't let me use my old display name or email address. The old account's display name is Jake Lazaroff.

Somebody please help me!
