my script downloads youtube vids as mp4, mp3 and flv

After recent changes to the reader, it forces ff3b5 to crash after a while.

Would you fix the code?

Well... since folks are spamming their favorite retail options, here is a FREE option:

It's an IE shell GUI that takes a given playlist and saves the videos into sorted files by the video format of your choice.

Sometimes it seems to run a little clunky, but I recommend it for easy of automation.

Another great way to download vidoes is getting into the usenet. Just find a Usenet Provider and start downloading at full speed.

This script is great however the links show up at the right of the video. No big deal.

It seems that the google video cache url has been sightly changed from the one in your script (http://cache.googlevideo.com/get_video?v=) to :

http://cache.googlevideo.com/get_video?video_id=

is it for all countries? for me(from The Netherlands) it didnt worded!

Binny, is there a way to have new tabs open instead of the links opening in the same page?

FYI: if you type 'V', Google Reader will open the current item into a new tab for you.

This is a built-in Google Reader functionality.

Thanks for letting me know - it is fixed now.

This script is very handy, but when it's enabled, it makes the other links at the bottom of the post not work: add star, share, email, mark as read, edit tags. Nothing happens when I click on them.

I like the script that Mike Hicks posted better.

I discovered a minor inconvenience. If you scroll to the bottom of the Digg front page before the icons are drawn, the page will change size slightly. This is inconvenient when trying to go to the next page. If you scroll to the bottom to click on the next page, when the icons are drawn, the link is suddenly in a different spot and you have to scroll again to get to the link. If you add the following, it fixes the problem:

icon.setAttribute('height', '15');

Add this after the other icon.setAttribute() calls. It does make the icons slightly smaller, and the furl icon is slightly cut off, but it appears to fix the problem.

instead it gives you

In other words, instead of http:// you get h:// at the beginning, and clicking on this fails.
