Was wondering if Greasemonkey could be used to run a script to force the audio output for the browser to be forced to another audio device besides the default. I know programs such as Skype and Windows Media Player have the option to change the audio output device. |

If I understand correctly, there isn't really such thing as "audio output device for the browser" since all audio processing is basically handled by individual plugins (Flash & co). Even if there was a global setting for the audio device, it probably couldn't be changed via JavaScript (and ergo, GreaseMonkey). Otherwise, cue mischievous websites screwing up the audio settings for their unwitting web visitors. |
