Facebook reintroduced the sorting option for the wall and by default Facebook always reverts the button back to 'Highlighted Stories First' after logging out for a while which is annoying.

To make the option stick forever you can make some minor changes to the feature introduced by FFixer 2.3.1.3.

Open the script in Notepad++ or whichever code editor you like and go to line 4674 and replace:

if (prefs['HomeMostRecent'] && page.indexOf('sk=')==-1 && $('//div/a[contains(@href,"sk=lf")]', null, true)) {
location.replace('/?sk=lf');

with...

if (prefs['HomeMostRecent'] && page.indexOf('sk=')==-1 ) {
location.replace('/?sk=h_chr');

I removed the second condition in the code(which I do not understand) and changed the last part of the URL. Does it work for everyone else? Any tweaks?

This is not fixed in 2.3.1.7 Beta?

Its not in the script yet, I'll try to test it and add it today. I'm just rushing out betas instead of releasing one beta with a lot of changes so there's more time for feed back, the stable can be released sooner, and overall people will get fixes faster. As a result I'm not even attempting to fix all broken features for each beta, but soon enough everything should get sorted out.

The second part of the condition checks to see if there is a link on the page to let you change the sorting method. If there isn't it means you're already seeing the sorting method you want, based on the last time you chose a sorting method (Facebook will sometimes show you whichever method you chose last without you having to specify - or at least they used to). I'll have to check and see if that part is still relevant.

Thank you Vaughan for taking your time to improve the script. Makes Facebook a lot more bearable. :)
