The RT link for the following movie title does not work correctly:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114746/

Anacrolix, the problem with that particular movie lies with the Rotten Tomatoes API (on which the script is dependent). We ask RT, "Hey, give us the details of the movie that has an IMDb-id of 0114746." 98% of the time, RT gives us back the correct information -- "No problem. That's 12 Monkeys, 1995, 87% critics, 84% audience, certified fresh," etc. (in a machine-readable format).

One percent of the time, they don't have that IMDb-id in their database, and they give us an error. "Sorry, I don't know what movie you're talking about." Then we have to fall back to manually searching for the movie, asking them again, "We're looking for a film called '12 Monkeys' that was released in 1995." Most of the time that works and they answer, "No problem. That's 12 Monkeys, 1995, 87% critics, 84% audience, certified fresh," etc.

The last one percent is the problem in this case -- they've got the IMDb-id mapped incorrectly on their side. When we ask RT, "Hey, give us the details of the movie that has an IMDb-id of 0114746." They answer, "No problem. That's Prem No Public Issue, 1995, no critics score, 50% audience, spilled popcorn," etc. You can see their exact response at this link: http://api.rottentomatoes.com/api/public/v1.0/m...

If we're trusting the Rotten Tomatoes API when it says, "This is the correct movie information for this IMDb-id", we fail when they fail. There really isn't a way around that on my side.

When I've come across these problems with the RT mapping of IMDb-ids, and I contacted them about it and they fixed it. For example, the Denzel Washington movie "Unstoppable" (2010) -- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0477080/ -- used to be mapped to a different film on the RT side, in this case, "Unstoppable" (2004) -- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0349889/ -- with Wesley Snipes. I told them about it in their contact form, and they've now fixed the problem so that that flim links correctly.

Other developers have also submitted their own bug reports that show mixed-up IMDb-ids, including one report that talks about this very film.
