A note to all that might be helpful about the recent facebook change to posting permissions and their affect on this script.

Mafia Wars Loot Lady has posted "How To Remove Auto-Posting" instructions at http://mwlootlady.blogspot.com/2011/09/how-to-r... - this is in essence a good thing, because auto-posting limits your ability to change the scope of particular posts from Mafia Wars to specific people (custom friends lists, etc.)

HOWEVER - if you remove the "Post to Facebook as me" permission from Mafia Wars as described in her post, FBMW Addon will also no longer be able to post gift links, operations, etc. for you.

The only workaround at present is to make sure the permissions are set "on" when you want to make posts with FBMW Addon, and "off" when you're doing posts from other things within Mafia Wars that you want to control.

Posting this so that you know it's not a bug in either FBMW Addon or Mafia Wars, it's yet another "feature" that's been forced on us by facebook.

I would like to suggest that for the Massive collector. Save settings for when you set preference for gifts.
Also noticed that the filter is not working for me. ??? Not a big deal, just wanted to let you know.

Cant scan with Massive Collector, constantly says give permission. Has worked fine until today.

I have problem with My Links, i get "unexpected response.". So when i publish with the gift page the dont show upp.

What happened to the ability to make short links for the Chicago build items? (Carpenter Nails, Iron Casts, Douglas Fir Beams, etc) I was away from the game for (gasp!) a few days, and did the new update today - after I did that, I saw there were no Chicago Build items showing on the free gifts short links page. A bug, or a Zyngaaaaaa?

Hi! Love your work! Quick question...I am looking into the Iron Web Browser they say it has less issues and more security than Google Chrome. Do you think that you might work some script for that browser? I do not like Chrome and my recent FF update keeps crashing. Just curious.

cannot read source file? ive been getting this every time i try to install the new version in chrome. deleted the old version i had (chigago had not been added at all) to see if that helped and now i have nothing lol
how do i fix it? or download the old version again? please :)

Is anyone having a slow issue in MC? Cos I am, taking over an hour to process 120 links.

It 1st verify the links then goes into collecting the links and after a few links it then verify links again and collect again.

I asked it to get 20 of each for the chicago buildings parts, along with 10 cooked books and 10 hidden charges. Yet this is being done via My Wall scans of 24 hours with approx 300+ parts found each of the chicago builds.

Surely it shouldn't take over an hour? In fact as I am writing this now it is still going. nearly an hour and 20 mins so far.....

Updated: actually ti been 2hrs 20mins cos the line that says when the process started is -
Process started at Mon, 03 Oct 2011 14:05:57 GMT

will update this when teh process ended.

Update: The MC process never ended it's crashed or the page has reloaded for whatever reason.

Yes, I have that problem too. I can change it using "Custom" and clicking the "Default" box but facebook sometimes changes it back to "Public" or "Friends of Friends" or even "Only Me" with no rhyme or reason that I can determine. I wish facebook would stop "helping" me!

Dakam, u really need to look into this MC being very slow, today asked to get 5 crime spree with 51 links found usually it is done with 2 mins 10 mins and still going on verifying links.....

Its never been this so slow before dakam.

Update, Crime spree and brazil/chicago crew links from MC do not works or none is collected.

Yes seems to be a problem with Massive Collector as when I put all my links in from page it will say verifying then go to next ones and verify again without actually opening any of the links up like it used to. Also very slow at doing this as well

Using Chrome, the Massive Collector is taking an extreme amount of time to verify links. Seems to be recent in the last 2-3 days.

Confirming Massive Collector link verify slowdown in FireFox also, starting today. In fact, fails to complete on multiple attempts after a various number of links are verified. In some cases collects a few items then returns to verify and goes no farther.

Verifying in Mass Collector is taking more than normal and after verifying the links Mass Collector does not collect anything.

I have 2 accounts both using this one is on chrome and the other is on ff the one on ff is completely different than the one on chrome as it has nothing related to chicago even though its the latest version. the problem in chrome the free gifts do not show up any more and i have to go back and use millers bookmarklets

One thing I have found disconcerting, is on Battlefield on my Firefox, the Auto-Deposit are almost always unchecked, and if I move the mouse down to check them, the drop-box closes. I have had to hover the mouse over the Battlefield Deposit and hit the Down Arrow to move the screen down and click the mouse to check the cities.

Thanks for the update... Mass Collector just worked faster than never before!!!

Everything works fine for me other than the returning FB gift requests, it will send Facebook Limited gifts, but will not send from the Zynga Message Center on FF, Rockmelt, or Chrome, other than that everything seems to be great!

Dakam, I am now getting errors that says 'Error getting long url.' after colelcting so many links and gifts. What does this means? does it means I am limited in using the unshortner services now?

PJ Wales, I got that on a couple last night. Looked at the group posts and there were a couple of un shortened FB links posted in the group I was scanning.
