Update: Better Loopy 3.5 !
![]() ![]() |
Along with some fixes, this release has a couple of really nice features! 1). Now you can send a link of the looped part of your YouTube videos, and they will see exactly the same part when they click on that. Think of the various things you can do using this (Annoy people ;) )
Please give feedback for anything you feel - bug reports, suggestions, complaints! -

No bugs to report... works great! Thanks. |

"link of the looped part" FTW! by the way, any clue why "update extensions now" on chrome won't update better loopy? do you have to something additional to auto-update blfy on chrome? (wish it would show a notification like it does in greasemonkey@firefox) |

I noticed a small bug using this with Cosmic Panda. If the setting "Enable playing all videos on page" is disabled, their is a slight UI bug. Part of the like, dislike, and sharing buttons are cut off but you can still click on them. Here's a pic of what I mean |

Thanks for the fix, but I kind of liked how before the like/dislike bar, stats and views were grouped beside the loop bar. I don't mean to be picky. I just like saving space. lol
Also, will your script ever support HTTPS by default? It's really a very simple addition. |
![]() ![]() |
Yup. I know about the extra space it takes. What I did yesterday was just an immediate fix which is less risky - so that at least people are able to see the buttons. I had also tried the other way to save space and it works, but that is too much dependent on YouTube's CSS class names and placement - which keeps on changing so I want to be sure before submitting this change. Wow. YouTube has https. Didn't know about that - adding it is easy as you know. (Why would someone want to watch videos securely? :P Anyway, not my concern other than adding the URL) |

Nice script man, thats what i was searching for. But i found something, this script don“t work well with Tab mix Plus.
Thanks. |

Hi deathlost,

Looks like Tab Mix Plus had a compatibility issue with GM 0.9.10 and a workaround is in for GM 0.9.11. This is probably an issue with Tab Mix Plus though. |

Cool. Looks to be the same issue deathlost is talking about. Thanks Cletus! |

hey guys, better loopy doesn't seem to work anymore...i haven't been using the loop feature in a while, so i don't really know what caused it to stop working. currently I'm using win 7 64 bit, firefox 6.0.2 and the latest version of better loopy (sep. 2, 2011) and it doesn't seem to work...anyone else with this problem? i couldn't find a topic online where anyone is complaining about this, so I'm suspecting it is not a youtube update, that's been causing this... |

@Piyush Soni: thank you very much...silly that i didn't try deactivating plugins -.- i fixed the problem...the add on that caused this is "HTTPS Everywhere 1.0.1", when you activate it, the loop button on youtube videos shows up, but has no functions...when you click on it, it turns red like it should but no video loops.if you click on "settings" for better loopy the UI doesn't pop up,in fact nothing happens at all when you do that. well anyway, problem solved, still strange how this add on affects better loopy :/ |

It is because HTTPS everywhere is not really supposed to work everywhere :). (http://www.eff.org/https-everywhere) |

I have HTTPS Everywhere installed and use SSL on Youtube, but have no such issue.
|

The script works just fine over HTTPS for me. In fact, I have to manually edit the script every time there is an update because HTTPS isn't included. |

I believe both Greasemonkey and Scriptish have 'user includes' functions. I just do that. |

Since Youtube has it inbuilt for quite some time now, I will include the https versions of links in the script itself. |
