Hide Feed Ticker

To hide the ticker, copy+paste the line below into a new line at Advanced > Custom CSS and then click 'Save Custom CSS'. Refresh: .fbFeedTicker { display: none; } Some may already have the feature in their profile, some may not. Slowly being rolled out. |

I was trying to add #pagelet_rhc_ticker { display: none; } to the source code with no results. Thank you for saving me from headaches :P |

Thanks, work like a charm, though I do not know how to make a user.css file so i edited the one existed in my firefox profile folder... |

You're welcome. I call it the ultimate stalker feed. Not good for us but excellent for stalkers. Even news about non-friends appear on the feed(eg. friend writes something on non-mutual friend's wall)! |

'Hide Ticker' option in 2.3.1.7 Beta does not work. It still appears. Using this custom CSS fix works though. Ticking the option and using the CSS fix together hides the ticker but causes the 'Events' to move down as we scroll down. Unticking the option fixes the problem. |

@scriptright, the option works for me. I'm wondering if we're talking about two different things. I mean the one that appears on the far right above the list of online friends, is full height, and only appears if your browser window is wide enough. Are you talking about the one that appears within the right section of the content area and is not full height? (the one near to where you see who has poked you) |

Yeah I checked it out, the code above works for the home page's right hand column, not the side bar. I added this code too, so when 2.3.1.8 is released it will hide the ticker regardless of which position its in. Edit: temperror's version should hide both types of ticker too, but I'm using a slightly different approach. |

Vaughan: Yup I meant the 'Ticker' located on the right column above the 'Events' and 'Pokes', not above the online contacts. Thank you for adding this feature. :) |
