Although it has been on Mozilla's FTP for a day or two, it is out for full-on public release this morning.

They've implemented a ton of good things and the full list of fixes is huge!

From just testing this morning, I really find the Scratchpad pretty useful. Any other devs plan on using this?

There are 1415 bug fixes listed. This amount of work indeed deserves an increment in the major version number.

Personally I prefer Google's developer toolbar to Firebug and all other FF. It has ability to debug extensions and userscripts and much more stable.
