Save order?

I would really like to try this script, but I am very, very afraid. The problem is that I have my queue arranged into a pretty specific order, except for about the last 150. Is there any way to add some sort of function that would allow a user to save an order? I read that there is an undo function, but I don't see it . . . maybe you have to do a sort first. In any event, without a backup to my current sort, I am not sure I want to take a chance on being totally screwed if undo did not work. |

Hi rfinney, I like your idea of being able to save a current order and then restore it later. I'll add that to my TODO list. Yes, the undo option only appears after doing a sort. I've coded it in such a way that undo is only possible if all movies in the original order are still present in the queue. So it's really only meant to undo a sort you just did. The same would hold true for a save/restore function--it's not meant to restore a changed queue back to its state from a month ago. It could, but that would be a lot more coding. :) I'm very busy, but when I've added the save/restore function, I'll update this thread. In the mean time, perhaps you can try asking a friend to try out the sort/undo functionality of this script to see how it works. Maarten |

Forgot to mention that the script's undo function is only 1 level deep. Meaning if you do a sort, you can get your original order back, but if you do two sorts, you will have lost your original order. |
