Two Small Suggestions

I love your script, it works great! There are two things though I'd like to see if possible: 1. a set to default button for the colours, so if the user tires of their changed scheme, or wants to start from scratch it can reset to the standard colours 2. an option to change the colours (if possible) of the "Friend Requests" "Messages" and "Notifications" icons in the top bar to make them match up with the colourscheme |

I half agree with this. I did think a 'default' button may be a good idea myself, then I realised if you want to change back to default colours, you can just disable the script. When you want to go custom again, turn it back on! As for the extra colours to be changed, absolutely. I think this is essential. There are four major colours in Facebook at the moment, as far as I can see, and those which aren't currently covered by the colour changer are the light blue 'comment' boxes, and the actual 'Comment' link itself. Maybe add a single colour schemer option? Say if you choose green, it will just re-shade all the blues instead with no need to pick your specific colours? I don't know how easy that kind of thing is to code. What kind of donation would you be looking for to put in the enhanced functionality? |

Agreed to the button-change-idea, even though I know (as a dev) how much server-side work that would be to auto-generate those buttons. Another easy solution would be to simply allow us to choose between a few simple colors (white or black would fit almost every color scheme better than blue, and would be easy to generate & add). Also, the transparency on the main Facebook logo shows some blue around the edges leftover from the photoshopping. This script really is perfect though - I've been looking for this for a while after switching from Chrome to Firefox - the Facebook Minimalist extension did this automatically, but it's chrome-only. |
