First of all, LOVE the script and I appreciate it that you keep it updated.

Updated to the newest version but had to downgrade because all of a sudden there is a sound every time I get a chat message. I really enjoy the new mail notification sound, probably my favorite part of the script, but is there any way to disable the chat sound? Or, and I'm not sure if this is even possible but it would really great, make it so it only makes a sound on the first message received (old AIM setting that I miss)?

As of now, there isn't an option to disable sound just for chat. There is an option, but that will disable sounds for both chat & new mail.

To disable sound for chat, find the following line (line no 803)
if(soundAlerts) self.chatAlert.play();
and comment it out, like this
//if(soundAlerts) self.chatAlert.play();

Hmm, I can't really have all that chat sound when I'm at work but I'd really like to keep the new mail notification sound, so I guess I'll just hold onto the old version and pray it keeps working!

Also, is there any way to make the Gmail notifier portion of the script notify you on the bookmarks toolbar that a new mail or chat has arrived? That would be amazing because you could see it on any window you are in.

Afaik, that isn't possible.

Btw, did you try what i mentioned the prev post? That should give you new mail notification only, and no sound for chat at all.

I'll add a separate option for both in the next version =)

Ahh, I thought when you mentioned above that that there was no way to disable sound *just* for chat that the following code was to disable both mail and chat, my bad! I'll give it a try. Thanks!
