 The most awaited major update of Better Loopy for YouTube is here! It has got a really nice look, lots of new features and is highly customizable. What's more, you don't have to install separate versions for Firefox and Chrome. It works in FF 3.6.*, FF 4.0 beta, and Google Chrome as well!

  • New beautiful look, seamlessly integrated with YouTube.
  • Much more reliable than before for Chrome (and Firefox too, no conflicts with most of the other YouTube add-ons).
  • Settings can be controlled by pressing Alt + M anywhere in the YouTube window, or pressing 'Better Loopy' link at the top.
  • You can set videos to always loop by default.
  • Show only the Loop button, timed Loop bar, next videos or nothing at all!
  • Enable/disable Looping by pressing Alt + L (you can change that shortcut too).
  • Toggle video play/pause by pressing Alt + P, go to next video by Alt + N.
  • Pressing Enter in the start time/end time boxes sets them to the current video time.
  • Works in both YouTube's popup windows and full screen now!
  • Enhanced script auto updater (Firefox only, no auto update in Chrome).
  • Bug fixes and minor enhancements.

Chrome users: Though you don't get auto updated (Sorry. Chrome's security restrictions don't allow cross domain xml requests), you can always go to Script Settings' About box quickly and check if you have the latest version.

is there still support for looping playlists? I am having difficulty figuring out how to do that with this plugin. everything else works great! tho.. thanks for doing this, Piyush.

It might have been broken due to some recent changes in YouTube. I will look into this as soon as possible. Thanks for reporting it!

Is this going to be updated for Cosmic Panda? If not, I'll rewrite it from scratch myself, regardless the copyright. And it's been 3 months since your last reply. I do hope you update it sometime soon.

Hi Lunatrius,
You should have looked the other thread for cosmic panda - where I replied 21 hours ago :) (11 hours before your post). The update is ready, I'm just testing it in FF and Chrome and should upload in a day or two with some more features.

But of course, if you write it from scratch yourself, you never need to worry about copyright, because that will be completely your own work. You need to worry about copyright only if you copy code from somewhere. :)
