The new script looks promising. Quite slick. I might suggest the inclusion of saturation and lightness controls in the color options for result boxes. I find fully saturated colors distracting, but that's just me. Anyway, thanks for the work on this fine script.

edit: Either that or direct entry of rgb values. At the moment the schema control is limited.

edit2: Never mind, figured it out. It just wasn't intuitive at first that you do actually have full control over rgb values.

thanks Kurisu,

I find it very hard to control the color and the light effect by configuration, I can't design a powerful setting widget to adjust every single detail, so at this moment I can only offer some typical setting like colors.

Yes the colorpicker do actually have full control of rgb, but you did find it not easy to use, or not easy to figure it out, right? That's a problem for me too, I wanna use a normal colorpicker like the one in photoshop, but it would take so much place.

Yes, it wasn't clear to me that the + button was increasing 2 channels while the - button was decreasing all 3. I tend towards the HSL model in Photoshop, etc so I was thinking in those terms. Got it now :-p edit: I see it's a min/max issue

BTW I'm testing with FF 4.0b3pre nightly builds and a modified Greasemonkey. No major issues thus far. Your project is much appreciated. It actually got me to more closely inspect Google's own search filters which have also much improved. Took them long enough.

Sad to know that the colorpicker is that hard to let you find out the exactly use of the minus and plus button, I think I should just remove the rgb value from the color panel, and tell people that the -/+ button is only for darkening and lightening the color.

I think perhaps allowing direct entry of rgb values would be the most functional (given the limitation of the current tool). Then one can simply note the desired value in windows color picker and enter it.

Really, it isn't a big deal once it's set. I've actually settled on white :-p

I don't think every user know what "rgb" is, but it's true that directly inputting rgb number is more convenient for the ones who know rgb, so I think I should add a input box in the colorpicker config widget to make possible to directly input rgb, even color name.

Can you add an option to go back to the old design of the search result boxes? The old one was so perfect

Hi Tecfan

I add a guide when firstrun and you just choose the "Classic G++" to get the old style you like.

but still it's a little different than G++ 1.x, so you can tell me if it is ok to keep those difference.
