Chat Notification Slows Firefox Down

Hey, First off, thanks for your development on this script. For the most part, it has been working awesome. One issue I am having is that when it flashes the chat bubble favicon, my entire Firefox application becomes very slow. As soon as I put focus on the chat message to stop the notification, Firefox returns to it's normal speed. Has anyone else noticed this? |

You are most welcome! I can't say I've experienced this, but it's entirely possible that I've got some bit of taxing code running as a result of the chat notification. When you experience the slow down, does it only happen when the Chat icon is visible (so, slow for 2 seconds, regular speed for 2 seconds, etc.) or is it that Firefox is slow from the moment the chat message comes in to the time you focus on the message? Could I also ask what browser & browser version you're running (looks like Firefox, but I wanted to check)? I'll look into it and let you know what I find! |
