casbruno: you have to create a free account in hotfile.com and set your prefered language ENGLISH, then refresh this page and you will see all links green. |

Hotfile Links don't work for me as well. http://www.rslinks.org/movies/holy-water-2009-d... I don't believe you have to create an account in order for the links checker to work.

DarkBlood, Nice solution. I hadn't thought of that. yah. |

Strings that must be added for Hotfile :
|

For the last few days hotfile has been very strange for me too. WGtools is reporting correctly, but TCLC reports various links as being down. The source code from hotfile is identical apart from the usual suspects (filename, filesize, timestamp, file ID) but everything else is the same. All files are up. It appears to be an intermittent problem because a refresh sometimes results in changes to the list (what was up is down, what was down is up, all up etc). My 'net connection isn't dropping by the way, it's solid as a rock and is wired. |

Pihug, Thanks a bunch for the strings for the other languages. I have added them to the script's match strings. Let me know if there are any issues with what I entered! Don't forget to update your filehosts in your Preferences. yah. |

DinosaurRawr, I have seen this also. I think it is due to a Hotfile server/internet connection issue, not us. However, only time will tell. As far as I can tell, it tends to happen on pages with dozens of links or more. Pages with few links never have the issue. Thanks,
|

I updated the filehost, restarted Firefox. It still doesn't work with French pages.

pihug12, please try again. I made a slight change to the match string again. let me know,
|

Doesn't work either. :-(
In the HTML file, I found that (I can't type the string here, it appears like a space). Maybe it can help... |

Yes, still some languages don't work, like chinese, turkish but french. EDIT:
https://docs.google.com/View?id=dc2m5vn2_12fzsxn2p3 hotfile.com http:\/\/(www\.)*hotfile\.com downloading|regular download|high speed download|Wybierz rodzaj downloadu|Pobierania|DESCARGA REGULAR|DOWNLOAD REGOLARE|NORMALER DOWNLOAD|TRANSFERêNCIA NORMAL|TéLéCHARGEMENT|REGULIERE DOWNLOAD Maybe TéLéCHARGEMENT RéGULIER would work. If someone can't see the correct characters may sure to set your browser's character encoding to Unicode (UTF-8). |

DarkBlood, pihug12, I updated the match string as Darkblood suggested. The issue here is definitely Unicode related. However, I can't get access to see a raw French page. Thanks for the help, I can't debug this without you. yah. |

yah, you can see foreign pages with Modify Headers (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/967/). Tools → Modify Headers :
Don't forget to keep the Modify Headers window open while browsing the pages. |

I was wondering. If I like the script, cause its fast & better then RS link checker. However i'm forced to also work with the RS one to do hotfile. I know hotfile is supported with this one too, but if i let it check hotfile tries to download them immediately (Internet Download Manager pops up). Is this normal behaviour ? can it be changed ? The only way to stop this behavior is to untick the following in my HF account. But if i do that IDM will download websites instead of the file, even though the link is active. Don't know what to do. Premium Options
Uncheck if you want to see url of the file before downloading. Useful for download managers, i.e.. Getright, Flashget, etc |

Ch3vr0n, The script isn't really the issue here. The problem is caused by the way Hotfile and IDM work in concert. What I did to get around this was to tell IDM not to download files with a .rar and a .zip extension. Really, this doesn't affect anything at all except to prevent the automatic downloads to launch. I download by either right-clicking on a singl link and choosing "Download with IDM" or I highlight a whole block of links and choose the same thing. Give this a try and let me know,

pihug12, As I stated above: "However, I can't get access to see a raw French page. Thanks for the help, I can't debug this without you." If you can find a way to get me the text, I will gladly add it. I am working on another solution, but its only a possibility right now. Please help me to help you. Thanks,

I already told you a way : http://userscripts.org/topics/56757#posts-275623 You can see foreign pages with Modify Headers (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/967/). Tools → Modify Headers :
Don't forget to keep the Modify Headers window open while browsing the pages. |

pihug12, I have tried the plugin now. This is an interesting way for me to test the script versus different languages. However, there are some issues with different pages. I have changed the match string to a simpler, more common approach: id=\"download_file\" This seems to work with all of the languages except when I set lang=fr. I am still testing this and I will update this post when I am done. Thanks!
