it doesn't work on chrome because there is nothing like unsafeWindow
it works fine on firefox and opera ;)

Why do you need unsafeWindow? Just so that you can use jQuery's .ajaxSuccess? You could, instead, install an event listener for DOMNodeInserted and wait until the galaxy has been drawn (as the Galaxytool plug-in does) - although that won't work in IE. Or you could just use setTimeout and wait a bit (for the galaxy to be drawn) before starting to process it.

if you really want to use chrome, you can install this script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/91210
and edit:

	if (document.location.href.indexOf("page=galaxy") != -1) {
		//moon spy and recycler
		insertScript("http://userscripts.org/scripts/version/54541/267698.user.js");
		//highlight players
		insertScript("http://userscripts.org/scripts/version/50678/267700.user.js");
	}

It works in Chrome with the last version of Tampermonkey (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dhdgf...#)

What are the reasons for the latest change, BTW? AFAIK, Chrome is supposed to support the .querySelector() method...

BTW, have in mind, everybody, that scripts of this kind are forbidden and are detectable by the game operators. A whole bunch of people using them were banned in many of the universes on the Russian server. When you spy a moon directly from the Galaxy view, you use a particular page of the game (page=minifleet). This is visible in the logs and it is trivial for the GO to check whether you had an active Commander at the time.

Nice job spreading the FUD factor there Vess. I know for a fact that this sort of info is NOT visible in the GO logs. It would be visible to Gameforge employees, should they choose to look for it, but they have zero interest in this sort of thing. But GOs do not have access to the actual web server log files. BTW, this script does work in FF, unless you have AntiGame installed. The mouseover for moons in AntiGame overrides this script and the options vanish as soon as you move your mouse away from the moon. If you disable mouseovers for planet/moon in AntiGame then this scripts' mouseover goes away. It used to work fine with AntiGame, but the latest versions seem to have changed something.

@Vess: querySelector works in Chrome, and I still use it, but querySelector with id-selector doesn't work like in Firefox and Opera. In Chromium 11 the previous version of the script didn't work in systems with 2 debris fields of more, because there are several elements with the id "pos-debris" (I could reduce only the first debris field)

Ah, it works with Antigame again, I just had to uncheck the AG box that said "kill tooltips (galaxy)"

FUD?! Take a look at the Pillory for the Russian Universe 10. Use Google Translate to check what the text near the end of the page means:

20.05.2011 11:38:51 Demon_m harat 04.10.2038 10:38:51 Использование запрещенных скриптов(скан луны с галактики, без командира)
Hint: it means that the reason for the ban is "Using forbidden scripts (scanning a moon from the Galaxy, without a Commander)". This is just one example. There were scores of such bans, in multiple universes on the Russian server.

Do you know of a way to spy a moon from Galaxy view that is essentially different from what this script does?? The GO does not have to have access to the actual web server logs. All he needs is a comprehensive log of the actions ("page=" requests) performed by the player. Apparently, the server does supply those, at least in the redesign. Why else did they manage to ban so many people for this kind of action?

Here are more examples of "FUD": Uni11.ru, Uni12.ru, Uni14.ru, Uni17.ru, Uni19.ru, Andromeda.ru, Barym.ru, Capella.ru, Draco.ru, Electra.ru,... Convinced already?

My apologies. I don't know how that was detected but the info you mention isn't in the GO logs. demon_m is a "Onepamop", trying to figure out if that's a GA or SGO. Perhaps they have this info available.

"Оператор" means "operator", i.e., a GO. But that's just the person issuing the ban; it's their job. The info might have been supplied by somebody else (SGO or GA). Getting it might not be too trivial, either - I know of no other such wave of bans on other servers. But, as the Russian bans show, it's definitely possible.

Different servers have different tool writers and different GAs are given access to different resources from GF based upon requests and justifications. It's very possible .ru has a tool author that proposed writing such a tool and a GA was able to get them the resources that were needed from GF. Each domain seems to live in a silo as far as my experiences shows... ie, GAs from .us don't really seem to have much to do with GAs from .de or .org for example. Seems sort of silly to me, if I were GF I'd want to standardize (rules included) and if someone in .ru developed a killer tool, I'd want it rolled out to every domain. But I think we've all given up trying to understand GameForge at this point. Again my apologies, I'm done with this script. Back to paying for commander.
