I have one question! is it possible to add the auto click the "SHOW 20billion SIMILAR POSTS" links like in the FVWM? Thought I'd ask before trying it! :D |

Hmmm.... If I did, I would have to detect wall managers and auto disable the feature while the wall managers are enabled. But I guess I could add it. |

Hi Joe! It's me (your loyal fan) again LOL...I was also wondering if there was a way to auto click the "show older posts" option. When I try to load my app filters sometimes it's blank, but when i click "show older posts" it will pull up posts from 3-6 hours ago. Since a lot of those links are good for 48 hours, is there a way to show posts back that far without having to click "show older posts" over and over again? Thanks in advance! |

QTVwrote:i've seen this on and off, too. i can't tell if it's fb just being evil, or if something is bugging the script. there are times when i can switch back and forth between the app filter and the normal home/news feed page, and see new/recent posts (or any posts) on the news feed that don't show up on the app page. other times, the posts are gone from both pages. the only thing that's ever struck me as a possible cause is prolonged use of a wall manager. but, there's no pattern or regularity to the happenings (that i see), so there's likely no easy way of tracking down the cause. it could just be fb. that's my guess, anyway, since it'll clear up on it's own. it's been a while now since i've seen it happen, so hopefully fb cleared it up. what really points me towards the wall managers as the cause, and not the filter fix is that, when it would happen, my only wall manager (fvwm) would have already been running for quite some time, constantly reclicking posts it had already tried. after changing the 'keep items in memory' option back to default, the problem with new posts not appearing went away. so the end thought is this - fb responds to the repeated 'clicking' of links and loading of pages, resulting in excess traffic/bandwidth, by blocking the app's posts from the end user/wall manager for a time. (probably an observation that's been stated elsewhere before, but i can't remember where, if so.) it'll probably be months before i check in here again. it's been months since the last time i looked in here. i thought i would at least say i've seen this as well, and share some thoughts. :) |
