Download link not working for Medium Quality FLV
![]() ![]() |
With Portable Firefox 3.5.8 on Windows XP, beginning with the 3-14-2010 update to the script, the download link downloads a full-sized but empty video (several MB but no sound or picture) if set to the default Medium Quality FLV. It works fine if I select the Very Low Quality FLV. I notice that the link to the latter includes &fmt=5, whereas the link to the Medium Quality FLV does not include any fmt number. Is there something I should edit in the script to add a value for this? Thanks. |

Can you give me the url of the videos where you have the problem ? |

This happened with several different videos, for example, this news article http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJ2hY-l-Tg8 which loads a 4.4 MB file but won't play any video or audio (but the VLQ loads a 1.7 MB file which plays fine). I noticed that the download link goes to &fmt=34 with the default Medium Quality FLV. Thanks. |

I think you don't have the codecs to read the video without the flash player. |

I use FLV Player 1.3.3 and have Flash Player 10 for Firefox installed. Could you direct me to a specific codec which I need for the Medium Quality FLV's; thanks. |

Try to install the last "Combined Community Codec Pack". |

Will try; thx. |
