Is it possible you could add a Buzz alert? Maybe a blinking Buzz icon (a la Chat alerts) with the number of unread Buzzes.

Hmm, I'll have to ponder that. I know I get new buzzes quite a bit, so it may be off by default, but the blinking icon might just work. Hopefully it won't too annoying, but when it's up, you can let me know!
