I follow some people who constantly turn twitter into a chatroom, so a feature to filter-out @replies completely would be amazing. Of course, I coul simply stop following those people, but they do post some useful stuff that I wouldn't want to miss. |

I think twitter now includes it by default - you don't see replies in your main timeline! May be only when reply status is lost accidentally. I noticed this before installing any twitter-helpers because I actually wanted to see all replies of a celebrity to fans, but no, in my main timeline - only independent posts. |

That's true - you don't see replies to people whom you don't follow. But if you follow two people and they start chatting on twitter, threads get amazingly long. |
