I like the idea of this script, but I would like the option to set up a whitelist of sites on which cookies can only be manually deleted, no matter the prior cookie-deletion activity on that site. Like for some email websites or forums where a cookie will log you in automatically, I would like to keep this script from automatically clearing the cookie unless it is manually told to.
Perhaps this is already a feature, but I didn't really understand the different settings.

When you select a site for cookie deletion under GM icon "user Script Commands", menu option "Zap Cookies...toggle" you are given an option to choose between 1 and 4, choosing 4 does what you want, ie, if you had already selected "Zap Cookies by Default" this site will be excluded from the default action and cookie deletion will only be allowed manually via right click on icon or via GM menu option, "Zap Cookies Now".

The cookies icon background color will be green if 4, manual, is chosen.

If I have "Zap Cookies by Default" turned on, does that only apply when I close the tab, or also when I navigate away from the site?

to make sure I understand this, I can turn on "Zap cookies by default," and that will automatically clear the cookies of every site I visit (when I close the tab? when I navigate away in the same tab?), but if I want to keep the cookies for a specific site, I select the "Zap cookies... toggle" (1st option) in the user script commands menu, and select choice #4 for that site. Is that correct?

The "zap by default" option deletes cookies when you visit a site on which you have previously deleted cookies.

It will not delete on every site you visit but only on the ones where you have explicitly deleted cookies previously.

To keep cookies, don't delete them, don't set "zap by default" or,do both of these, but set up the site as manual (option 4) under the menu dialogue for "Setup for this site".

ah, then this script is useless for me. thanks for clearing that up.

Good but I'm afraid it doesn't clear it up for me, I presume it was that you wished the default deletion occurred only when the Tab is closed.
