Please replace your_favorite_mirror with a real mirror.

Then the script would work by default in Google Chrome. Keep in mind that Google Chrome doesn't have a nice built-in script editor like Firefox+GreaseMonkey, so a default working mirror is really useful.

Which would be the default mirror? Though it's unlikely that the script will be used widely enough to generate excess load on a single mirror, the mirror speed and usability vary across the globe, so different users will require different defaults.

I think any mirror (even if it's not the fastest / closest) is better than nothing.

Another option is to declare all the mirrors in an array and use a random number generator to select one of them: http://userscripts.org/scripts/review/8263 does it quite successfully.

Ok, done. I've picked kent mirror, as it's fastest for myself :)
