seems the script get rid of the link bar at the top or is it just me?

One that says Web, Images, Videos, etc?

Mine has gone too. Google's new homepage (at least in the UK) starts initially only showing the Google search bar, but then displays all the other links when the mouse is moved. This is undoubtedly done in javascript, and it appears your script kills this fade transition :(

Found a solution
You need to disable the Fade-in in google's home page.
install this script : http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/63436
It works well for me

or

I you can use this one in which i simply merged both scripts 'Google Pirate V2 Extended' and 'Disable google's fade-in'
