Bookmarkable? Confused. Help!

Hey. I'm having trouble with the bookmarkable searches. I'm using MyCroft's "Scroogle SSL" as my default search engine, but when I search I just get the following in the location bar: https://ssl.scroogle.org/cgi-bin/nbbwssl.cgi When I try to bookmark it, it's the same. How do I get a bookmarkable link? (And, I just read on the POST vs. GET method. I get that you can bookmark a GET, but not a POST. How are you getting around this??) Thanks in advance ... |

One more thing, after reading around a bit ... Why not use the GET method with Scroogle, and then use a FF plugin like RefControl (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/953) to block the referer? It's not SSH, but it is getting you the bookmarkable link without the accompanying loss of privacy. It would be nice to have SSH too, though. Any thought would be appreciated. (And thanks for your work!) |

Try using the quick search bookmark (see this script's about page) instead. I don't maintain the MyCroft add-on, which is using a POST command. Any subsequent searches (as launched from within Scroogle rather than the search bar) should use GET. |
