Mac OS X: Quicktime loading, not VLC

Whenever I visit a youtube video it loads in Quicktime, and I want it to load in VLC. I couldn't find any way of setting which plugin to use, so I trid disabling the quicktime plugin entirely, this left me with an error of "Your browser doesn't seem to support this video, please use the download link below." in place of the video. Any help, please? |

Same happens to me - on Windows7. I deinstalled quicktime. |

Any way to specify player or somehow disable quicktime on youtube? I don't want to uninstall quicktime because of apple trailers. |
