It seems that Woot could easily break the script by just changing the name of "Random Crap" to something else, like "Random Bag of Crap." I'd be more confident of the script working if it triggered the buy page on every new woot, and I could cancel if it's not something I want to buy. Any possibility of this as an option in the control panel?

I just discovered this script today, and now I know why I've had less luck in the past year getting BOCs!

Can you recommend an entry-level guide to scripting in Greasemonkey for someone who knows C, Perl, basic html, but has never used Greasemonkey or any scripting language designed for web pages?

It could be made an option, but it would be useless I believe for the vast majority of users who need to eat, work, sleep, etc. and can't keep canceling Woot script buys every few minutes. BUT, in the interest of satisfying the majority, if I can get 200 unique user (about 40% of the users) comments of "Yes" votes on this thread, I'll implement it as an optional feature. So, greasemonkey users... GET INVOLVED!

Ummm... I'm going to go ahead and place my vote for no on this one.

OK, then how about this: Instead of going to the order page automatically with each new woot, how about activating the script if I press the I Want One button, bringing me to the final confirmation page. That way I can test that it is working during a woot-off.

I can put a test button in there for you before the next WootOff. And that'll help me in making sure everything works at the beginning of each WootOff, too!

I think the test is a good idea. My gut tells me that Woot will change things again (like the forwarding issue for this WootOff). By having the ability to test the script at the beginning of a WootOff, it will increase the likelihood of success.

Again, thanks for a great script.

Absolutely! Once the test feature is in place, I'd be happy to hear from anyone who runs the test and has it fail on them. Just drop me a line through the email feature on this site.
