Just passing on some useful info. It has been discovered that both FB and Zynga are spying on your account activity and are inside your computer.

If anyone uses even something as basic as Spockholm or Heartrate or Vern's bookmarks, you need to follow these instructions. Zynga put a cookie into our system with the last upgrade to spy on us. Here are the details, and I have already gone into my system and removed it. Even if you haven't used the tools I would think having Zynga in your computer is a violation of privacy. Here is the information. Do with it what you will. I just don't want to start seeing friends disabled....

ATTN VAMPS: FB & Zynga are "snooping" around our accounts. If you use Firefox, go to Tools at top of your page (where it says File Edit History Bookmarks Tools Help) click "options" then "privacy" then "remove individual cookies" and scroll down the list & look for "iesnare.com"...highlight it and click "remove cookies"...click close & then ok....iesnare is a snooping cookie used by gambling sites to monitor users.

This was placed here during the last VW/FB upgrade. Some script users have already received the FB warning because you are doing too many actions at one time. If you are using a script to pick up jobs, etc...and at the same time you use "attack x"...FB knows you are using a script. How can you be doing help requests and attacking someone at the same... Think about it...be cautious in what you do. This applies to Google Chrome as well........I found this info; ieSnare is a back-end fraud protection system that matches distinct device identities to online accounts. A database matching system, called the Device Reputation Authority, links devices and accounts allowing merchants to identify and flag fraudsters without revealing personal information. Once these devices are identified, forensic information can be shared with all organizational networks protected by ieSnare. This allows subscribed networks to make business decisions about individual connections, and allow, limit, or prevent access based on the reputation of the devices involved."

For those using Chrome

Options -> Under The Hood -> scroll down a bit then click on show cookies -> search for the name and click remove

However it is not enough to just remove the cookie, it will reapply itself everytime you log in. You need to block it ........

Firefox - goto TOOLS, then OPTIONS & select the PRIVACY tab.
Click on down arrow for firefox will: and choose custom settings
Look for the area that says 'Accept cookies from sites' & click the EXCEPTIONS button. In the new popup box type 'iesnare.com' & click the BLOCK button, then finally click CLOSE.

IT should never get a chance to reapply itself after that, make sure you remove the cookie after blocking it too

The cookie program that FB/Zynga is using is a LSO Flash cookie. Removing it or blocking it in your browser will not work. You need to adjust the settings on your flash player to block the program from storing information on your hard drive. You can do it by going to this site: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation... Find the program mpsnare.iesnare.com. Change the permissions for this to 0. This will prevent it from ever saving your activity again.

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to changing settings on my computer - truthfully my ex used to do it all for me... Anyway, when I follow the link and locate the mpsnare site it appears on both my network settings AND peer assisted network. It does not allow me to change anything to 0 - all I can do is change to DENY / ASK / ALLOW. So I changed BOTH tabs to DENY - is this correct? Thanks

And there are all kinds of lines for zynga static app, etc. Leave these alone? Sorry - forgot to mention that I am on IE. Thanks
