Audio but no picture

I was having some problems with using Flash so installed this script instead. When I click on a Youtube video, a big Quicktime 'Q' symbol appears and then the screen goes blank and plays the audio but no picture appears.
It might be an issue of a missing codec perhaps?
Any recommendations please?
I have Windows XP by the way.

I have the same problem. I open another tab or switch to another tab and then come back to the original tab(where da video is). That way the video appears.

I had this same problem. Are you guys using Quicktime Alternative? I was using it and had problems until I upgraded to Quicktime Alternative 3.1.0 full. Not the QT Lite 3.1.0 version. I had QT Lite installed and the video wouldn't appear. Then I decided to try the full install and it worked. Might be worth a try.
