Slowing down on old computer

There is a script continuously running in Facebook Fixer. Especially when watching videos in the home page, after I watch fourth or fifth video it slightly slows down. After tenth video Firefox (up-to-date) gets stuck, and the operating system (WinXP Home SP3) consumes 100% CPU. What settings do you suggest for computers like mine (1.5GHz centrino, 1GB ram). Is there any way to stop this background script? I just want to preview larger version of thumbnails and videos, nothing else. |

There are two possible causes for the script slowing down a computer: It could be that there are too many changes on the page and the script is running too often. You can solve this by installing the beta version that I made: http://www.code-poet.net/userscripts/beta.html Or if you are using the script in certain non-english languages you might be experiencing a bug where the "Download Video" link gets inserted on video pages repeatedly. You can solve this by using the script in English or disabling that feature. Both of these issues will be fixed in the next release. |

Thank you for the reply.
(Note: I am using English version of Facebook.) |

Yeah, this new beta version works like a charm! This way it is MUCH better. The script isn't killing CPU, browser doesn't get stuck like before. I hope you release it soon. |
