I just got this:

The following people are no longer friends with you;
undefined

Name:
undefined
Actions:
View Profile
Status:
No longer in your friends.

I do think someone removed me. Is there a way I can find out who?

Have you had the newest version of this script installed since before this person removed you?

If you type about:config in your address bar (then agree not to break anything), filter for znerp, you should get some values this script has saved. One of them will be your friends list (with a name something like 1234567890 friends), another will be your old friends (name something like 1234567890 ex friends). The information for the person who deleted you should be listed in that value. If there is something there, could you copy it and paste the information here? (You can change anything identifiable such as numbers, names and urls first.)

I believe I did, yes. I can't be 100% certain though.

Sorry, I added to my above post after posting it. Please re-read it and advise on my second paragraph.

Thanks for that. I worked out who it was.

The "ex-friend" line says:

({7160099999:{friendID:7160099999}})

(I changed the friend ID.)

Excellent. In case you didn't get it (or for anyone else who may have a similar issue), you want to go to http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=7160099999 to find out who it was.

This issue is interesting, and it's actually happened because I completely neglected to think that someone may delete you after you update the script but before it has gotten a revised friends list; the format you see is from the old version. I don't know that this would be an issue big enough to write extra code for at this point, and I'm this should not be a problem for the huge majority of users. I guess users with problems will come here to demand to know who the user was, and I can now point them to this solution. Thanks for reporting the issue.

No probs. Thanks for the quick reply. I hope it didn't sound like I demanded to know who the missing friend was, but was hoping you could help, which you did. Your script is great. Appreciate your work.

Oh no, not at all. That was in reference to my users who demand answers and fixes immediately on noticing problems. Most people don't bother to reply to say something worked or to thank me if it did.

Not that it will help after this has occurred but prior to it occurring if users uninstall the script and choose the little check box that says "also uninstall associated prefernces" it will remove the old list, then install the new version and the next time they go on facebook it rebuilds with the new format. You can also preempt it if you just clear the value in about:config before installing the new version without doing an uninstall first. I linked this script on my facebook and a ton of my friends thought it rocked and installed it as well. This really is one of the most useful greasemonkey scripts I have ever come across, thank you for taking the time to do it and to make extensions/enhancements to it.

As the aim is to eliminate the chances of someone being deleted and not knowing who it is, adding the chance of them not even knowing that they're deleted (for the case that someone happens to remove them during this process) doesn't seem ideal. At least in the case in hand there was a quick and easy way to work out who had deleted horstp.

I guess this is fine as long as you don't intend to ever remove any of them... :)

@mr-bolica: The update doesn't work in what way? And you can roll back your version to whichever one you want here - http://userscripts.org/scripts/versions/40027 (although I would seriously recommend that you don't).
