Doesn't Do Anything For Me

When I first tried this it seemed to be working, and would download for about 30-40 minutes and then save the file as a .part which I cannot do anything with. My computer does not know how to open it. If I try again it saves an itty bitty .part file that I again have no clue what to do with it. |

File extensions have absolutely nothing to do with what the file is, in case you didn't know. Try renaming the .part to ".avi" or ".mpg" or whatever it is. Do you have a stable internet connection? I'm led to believe you don't, as it seems to be fine here. Additionally, what are you trying to get? It could be a problem with the specific link. |

I can only imagine you're someone I know in real life who is messing with me. I can't think of someone who actually legitimately communicates as such and expects to get help. |

1. I am using Firefox, and when the file started to download it did not give me an option to save it as anything else, and I cannot change the .part once it is saved... It starts saving as if it is an AVI and then when done its a .part 2. I have a stable internet connection. I have broadband which has yet to falter on any other forms of long downloads. I think the longest it has ever taken for a large file to download was an hour in a half. And it was a pretty big file, and I didn't lose connection over that. 3. This happened on several different links, not just one. I wish I could remember all the specific links but I found an alternative way of downloading and forgot about this script all together. I am sorry for taking so long to reply. |
