I have the newest script, and it still is having issues. When it passes the URL - https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLoginAuth - it logs out of the account, but it does not open the Username field. From this page, I would have to click "Sign in as a different user".

If I click "Sign Out", passing the URL - https://mail.google.com/mail/?logout - then it opens both of the Username and Password fields for text entry. I have tried adjusting settings in Google, but have not found one that causes this. It appears the script would be more fool proof if it could do a "Sign Out" and then sign in.

JShope: Do you use Gmail in English or in some other language? Also, do you use a domain for Google/Gmail for another country, like google.co.uk?

GeminiAlpha, thank you Rudolf. Yes I disabled the extensions via the add-on buttons. In fact I uninstalled every add-on except for greasemonkey, then disabled all the greasemonkey scripts except for google multi login, and I still got the screen with my previous user name with prompt for the password. Maybe it's because we're not in the US? I'm in Spain. It did work without problems from the time I installed it until other people started having the same problem, then it worked again for a few days . . . so it seems that it's something to do with google since I haven't installed any add-ons or greasemonkey scripts in this time that the script has stopped working.

Hi Jared, once again thanks for your efforts! I use Google in English, not in basic html. You see from my post to GeminiAlpha that I uninstalled all my add-ons in Firefox except for Greasemonkey, and all other scripts and I still got the previous login name. I live in Spain though, so perhaps that's something to consider.

Thanks for following up on this. I am using Gmail in English, on the google.com domain. In fact, here is the URL - https://mail.google.com/mail/?shva=1#inbox

Well, sorry to say this, but I have no idea why it's not working for you guys. I can't reproduce the issue, so I can't figure out what's causing it.

Wether Dutch or English(us) set in Gmail, script still does not work. Little pulldownmenu is shown, logout works, but user change doesn't work; it keeps coming back with the 1st login credentials in form. Jarett, is it possible that you forgot first to logoff the present user before logging in at another account? Just a thought...
It's beginning to look like the end of you multi login script; that makes me very sad because I loved the idea. (I never saw it work.)
I'm more than curious if the script is working for other people. In this thread I only read msg's about Not working scripts.

Have you seen "Google Account Multi-Login (ES)". I speak NO spanish, so what this ES script brings and if this one works for me, I don't know. Or is it only an adaptation for a spanish pulldownmenu?

I've never needed to log the current user out before logging the new one in; the new login always just replaces the old one. It's always worked like that. If it wasn't working for more people, there would be a lot more complaining, so it has to be something that's unique to your browser setup that's preventing it from working. Have you tried installing it on a different computer?

Also, the ES version is just a Spanish translation.

Installed greasemonkey + updatechecker + multi login script on my system #3: an asus laptop and it worked flawlessly right away! But only on #3.
Now I'm coming somewhere!!! Next days I'm going to compare my 3 systems: #1=desktop-xp-pro-sp3, #2=laptop-vista-home-sp2, #3=laptop-xp-home-sp3.
This will take some time, please hang-on.
Have a nice weekend, Rudolf.

update nov 07.
1st check is not hopefull. Making #1 equal to #3 within FF 3.5.5), i.e. adding & removing FF add-ons, leads to no result. So I'm 'on halt' now with #1. The only PC on which Jarett's script works is system #3. My objective was to get #1 and #3 equal (both have winXP) and working, but I failed up to now.
summary: #3 works,
#1 no multi-login menu pops up,
#2 multi-login menu pops up, but no user switching

see my next msg

I stopped all efforts. I thank those who tried to help! For me this script shall never fulfil my wishes.
I started using KeePass (http://keepass.info) to login my various gmail accounts. Only inconvenience is that before login another account, the previous logged in account must be logged off first. So direct switching between account is not possible.
You all have my kindest regards, bye, Rudolf.
