I'll update the script as soon as I get it fixed; it could be a problem related to yours, so just sit tight. mhazzard: I scrape the GALX value from the login page, since there's no way to guess what the value will be. You can get a valid value whether the user is logged in or logged out. The lines you're looking for in the source are around 109-130. Note that the url for the login page is different if it's a Google Apps account, and the GALX value will be unique to each Google Apps domain.

The new script is partly working ok. I've to do more testing to create a report about what's ok and what goes wrong and in which sequence. Just 2 remarks for now: Once in a while: 1. I land on a Google page which says "server error" 2. The additional drop down box from your script is vanished. Please hang on, I'm working on feedback. Rudolf.

Oct 7, 2009 3:02am Jarett Script's Author	Hm. I'm not sure about the "server error" message; I doubt it would be coming from my script. Is it possible that you have some other Greasemonkey script and/or Firefox extensions that are interfering with my script? You might want to try disabling other Gmail or Google scripts and extensions to see if that helps.

Oct 7, 2009 5:51am Golf11 User	Hmm, I'm using this with GreaseKit on Safari and Snow Leopard and it's not working. I still have the signout in the upper right in gmail and it is installed in Greasekit. Any ideas?

Oct 13, 2009 3:59pm GeminiAlpha User	Today another change of the Gmail login form. AutoLogin script doen't work anymore, pulldownmenu doesn't come up. I'm getting real tired of this. I really don't know if I can contribute to this thread. Hope anyone else comes up with an idea. Rudolf.

Oct 15, 2009 12:04am Jaem User	This is such a good script! Please keep ahead of the game for us. I've had the same problems with logon described by others. After the October 6 update it worked again for a few days, then stopped again. As of today, I don't get the dropdown, except sometimes if I reload the page, and selecting a different account gives me a screen with my previous sign-on with prompt for the password. Thank you so much for all of your work!

You're going to have to give me more details if you want me to be able to help. Jaem: Do you have any other extensions and/or userscripts, especially ones for Gmail? Some people have said that they can interfere with the script. Also, does it work 100% of the time on pages that aren't Gmail (Google homepage, Google Reader, etc.)? EDIT: Google does tend to roll out changes to their services gradually; there are often slight differences in the Javascript and page layout between what different users see when logged in. There might be a change that I just can't see yet.

Oct 15, 2009 10:13pm Jaem User	Hi, Yes I have other google greasemonkey services: "inline google player", "google docs download", "gmail unread message count in favicon", and "folders4gmail". I would happily uninstall any or all of them to retain the functionality of the multilogon script! And in Firefox, I have installed "better gmail" from Lifehacker. The thing is, it worked for a long time, no problems, and then stopped working at the same time it stopped for other people, and that's where it is now, after a e days of no problems. One again, thank you! Your work makes mine much easier and I appreciate it!

Oct 17, 2009 2:39pm GeminiAlpha User	@jarett october 8 I offered via built-in mail (of this site) to jarett to send him all collected gmail login forms, but without having his Email address I can't. How should I send attachments via the limited "email" service of userscripts.org? Up to now I collected different forms of sep30, oct01, oct07, oct13 and oct17. these forms are collected by right clicking on the gmail loginbox and saving as txt files. I thought this was the best way to get the differences by comparing the files. Wouldn't this be nice for a programmer? I don't know a better way, the differences are too various to tell. Now I feel abandonned with these 5 files... No need to say I like Jarett's work very much and I appreciate his ongoing support. I hope you, Jarett, understand my feelings about all this. If that fixes it, just re-enable them one by one until you know which one was causing the problem. GeminiAlpha: Why didn't you just paste the source of the form into a message?

Oct 17, 2009 6:41pm GeminiAlpha User	I tried to paste it here; it becomes completely unreadable, because it's script code; cr and lf's disappear. Beside this, the textfiles are about 20 k each. Unacceptable big and massive for a board like this.

Besides, if the problem you're having now is that the box won't even appear, then it has nothing to do with the login form itself. I really have no idea why it wouldn't be working for you, especially when it seems to be working perfectly for most people. Did you try doing what I told Jaem (disabling other userscripts/Firefox addons)?

In my situation sometimes the Jarett-box does not appear, and IF it's appearing Change to another account is impossible and I return to my 1st login credentials, sometimes even to the Google Accounts page. It's very inconsistent what's shown. It's driving me crazy. I use FF3.5.3 and these add-ons: ad-blocker, ad-block plus, betterprivacy, download statusbar, downthemall, fast video download, favicon picker, get favicon, greasemonkey, perspectives, plainoldfavorites, print/print preview, sqlite manager, sync places, tab mix plus, tv fox, dutch dictionary. Just to let you and jarett know. Only info to share. Rudolf.
