Sorry, but I don't understand.

I've installed this add-on. I have a new clickable box but t only toggles on (tick) or off (crossed circle).

I tried adding keywords to an event, but it doesn't change anything. Please advise where EXACTLY do the keywords go and how EXACTLY they should be (e.g. in quotes?) I tried ...

!tag1
#tag1
"!tag1"
"#tag1"

in the description box of a not-yet-due event. Entered a new one. Still no dice. All events are black and no drop-down arrow on the "color codes" box.

I'd really like to use this function, but so far it doesn't look promising.

I have several other scripts that work fine.

Sorry for the slow reply arnie2.

Have you edited the script with your tag preferences yet? I'm working on making it easier to define your own tags, but for now it requires editing the table at the top of the script.

The default tags are just the ones I use. For example, try creating an event titled "Fly to LA !travel". When you turn color codes on, the event should be colored light teal. When you turn the color codes off, the event should return to the default color of the calendar it is on.

Does that help?

Not really. Please read my comment again. I don't have a drop-down box that allows me to select colours as you show in your screen shot - it's just "on" (tick) or "off" (crossed circle) and when it's "on" all my usual appointments go black.

Never mind. No reply necessary. Sorry, but it's chewed up too much time already and I'm not willing to persevere with it.

I'm also having the same issue arnie is having. I love the concept of this script, but I can't implement it. Please help!

Jpd19: I'd love to try to help you but it may take some trial and error discover what's wrong. If I understand correctly, the problem you are encountering is that all your calendar items go black when you enable the color codes, is that correct?
It's possible that your tags are not being stored correctly: pleas open the about:config page in your browser and search for "gcal" you should see 3 preferences for the gcal color codes script. Please let me know what their values are and I will try to figure out what might be going on.

Ever tried putting the keywords in the title instead of in the description box?

I installed the extension and the script, created tags, changed the default color to accept the default from Google calendar and started using it..It was working fine then the Tabs section in the left column is just gone.. can't seem to get it back. I am using a MacBook Pro, running 10.6.5 and version 3.6.12 Firefox. Any ideas why it stopped being available and how I get it back?
Thanks
