This Script is Illegal to use on ANY of the Groundspeak servers. This is a Violation of the TOS. Jeremy is being informed of this crack at this time. I HIGHLY suggest everyone Delete this script, AND just get a Premium Membership to geocaching.com.

To all GcTour users:
Don't panic: Groundspeak could not detect whether you use GcTour or not.

to the steaks:
First of all: i know about the TOS violation and everyone who accept the TOS (which is everybody :-) ) should be informed about scraping/cracking/spidering content from the holy groundspeak servers.
GcTour use the presented data in an way groundspeak do not offer. It is truely not written to optain PremiumMember features. It is written to extend the geocaching.com website in a way Groundspeak is not capaple to implement by an shortage of good programmers and excess of people who are searching for TOS violations.

I will continue developing GcTour :-D

Groundspeak DOES have very capable programmers, and DOES detect this script. IF you are able to download ANY information from the Groundspeak site WITHOUT a Premium Membership, That is a Violation of the TOS. This is STILL a ongoing issue with Groundspeak.

The Steaks

P.S. Everyone should be ASHAMED of themselves for using this script!

A solution could be for Groundspeak to include and provide such service for premium members inside the Geocaching web site ... in a future version of the Geocaching website ?

The items provided by GCTour should be examined because GcTour provides valuable services for geocachers !

RE: Geocacher

You already Have Pocket Queries. Set up a Bookmask list, and then a PQ from there.

What else does this Illegal script do? scrape data off the Geocaching website is the only thing

I'm using this excellent script even if I'm Premium Member.
As far as groundspeak will disable using this script, I'll stop the Premium
Member charge paying. The method of PQs is inconvenient for me and GCTour
provides me all I need.
I can't forbear from notice: if there are so gradely programmers in
groundspeak, why don't they make so useful things like this script?
Speak nothing of whereigo builder phase.
I'm sticking up for author and I wish he takes the gaff.
I have to say, I'm not ashamed for GCTour using. There are some another guys
shall be ashamed in this case.

My god... Grounspeak is doing nearly nothing to make the web more user friendly and add functionalities that are quite basic for keen geocachers (usually=PMs)! And then I read this :o( I am PM and I still have to make statistics myself (WHY?), prepare trips using other sw or scripts, making sure that macros for GSAK won't take too much traffic from GC...

Hey boys, do something for geocachers a stop trying to ban tools that do it in place of your web!

I see you want more peole to become PMs but the best way is to give them some extra functionality which really helps and saves time!

Do you guys not realize that geocaching.com fully supports programs like this one? When they released their newest update to the website, it specifically stated that they were incorporating many of the "fixes" that greasemonkey programs had included only as workarounds or shortcuts, and they graciously thanked the user programmers out there for their trying to make this a better site. So no, no one is going to hunt you down for using this...in fact, they encourage it.

What I hate most about this topic is the moronic use of the word "illegal". I've not recently read the tos, but even if this script did violate it (and I'm not convinced it does), Groundspeak is not the government. They cannot have you arrested. They cannot seize your computer. Making their website slightly less annoying is not now and will never be a crime.

Anybody who uses the word "illegal" in this context is obviously a moron who can be ignored.

I would think it would be sad if GroundSpeak had a problem with this script. It add functionality that is not yet available on their servers. I do not believe that they are worried about it.

I do believe that their main concern is that some other web site would be using their information and hard work and passing it off as their own. To put all their time and hard work into making their web site the success that it is today, and have another site scrape the data and pass it off as their own is their biggest worry.

Are they worried about search engines, and their automated bots? No. Those automated bots would create an interest in their site. So does this script.

Wen i discovery geocaching for me (about ~4 month ago) i was able download as many caches per time as i want. But now i can download only 20! with "hard work" - (every time you mus entering boring "password" :((((((( ) I was very angry on geocaching.com i thinking to stop geocacking at all. Lucky for me i discovery this brilliant program.
I think because of some stupid limitations in geocaching.com they losing "costumers" Program like this only improve geocaching.com page, and increase number of visitors and costumers. they mus be thankful for program like this !!!
interesting fact: for example is in Geocaching Australia - Free and Open Global Geocaching http://geocaching.com.au/caches/available Your able download ALL caches in one time (you can download whole database in zip gpx or other format legally !!! )

Sad but fact is fact geocaching.com is not free.... They only using SOUND words like FREE
For me, FREE means OPEN too...

TFTP (thank for the program) :)
